Ok, we have Rob's wife here Nancy, who just may be the most selfish person on the planet, always having to have anything she wants. Her husband is always willing to give her all she wants, at least in material things. Shes also an artist who likes taking naked pictures of herself and displaying the photos all over the walls of her home. Shes very cold and looks down on anyone who doesn't have money. Her husband gets a promotion that involves him having to move to Hong Kong, and Nancy has a fit accusing her husband of being selfish and trying to take her away from her life. She starts having an affair with the cable guy and kills her husband when she gets to Hong Kong. She first starts drugging his drinks, and when he's unconscious on the floor she starts clubbing him to death. She gets caught and is sent to prison for life. The kids go to live with Andrew and Haley.
The husband didn't deserve to die, and he was a good provider financially, but as we can see, he made a bad choice in choosing a partner, and despite her selfishness and affair, he still wanted stay married. He's not totally innocent here himself, as he puts business and money above family's personal needs. There comes a point where the obsession with work and money just ruins families. It's a sad situation.
In Andrews case, we have the brother that couldn't live up to his fathers expectations, and it hurt him inside, and he did all he could do to become a business success. He married a rich woman in Haley, and started getting involved in crooked business deals, using people, doing drugs, and cheating on his wife. He would eventually get caught in his mischief, and really start to self destruct. We find him apparently murdered in his home. Andrew's driver Juan Castillo was arrested for Andrew's murder. Nancy and Robert's daughters are in the custody of his sister, while Haley starts using her maiden name and returned to her old work. Some believe that Andrew killed himself and made it look like murder so the family would collect insurance and be well taken care of financially, but they never saw the money. Juan the driver is still currently waiting trail.
